Day Nineteen: Fall Art Walk

What a lovely evening I had last night.  Jerry and I went to the Fall Art Walk.  We started at the library and stopped for some dinner at the Wind Bag.  We ran into so many people.  It was wonderful seeing them all.  I was becoming pretty disappointed when the top to blocks of the Gulch didn’t have much for art.  I thought the night was going to be a bust.  As we went down to the lower blocks, I found stunning pieces.  I also found two new artists to follow.

Svitlana Lysiak is an artist from Europe.  She is trying to move to Helena.  I loved her accent as she showed me her pieces of whimsical art.  I bought two cards.  One is entitled “Saint Helena”.  Two angels are holding the Cathedral of Saint Helena in a tapestry.  Stunning.  Now that I look at it more, I wish I had room on my Rosary wall.  The piece is lovely.  I also bought a picture of an angel standing on a bride in Venus.  I have friended Svitlana on facebook which she suggested I do.  I am excited to see her new pieces.

The next artist I met, I didn’t get her name, but I picked up her card, “Art by Missperidot”.  Her art is fantasy based.  The piece I bought was a card of the Moose King.  I love the detail of his horns that seem to be holding up his kingdom.  There is a story in his eyes.  I liked Missperidot’s Instagram account and will keep tabs on her as well.

I hope to see more of their work in the future.  The part that makes me sad is I would love to buy their bigger pieces to display in my house.  Unfortunately, I have no room on my walls.  Jerry joked about adding on to the house when we are rich.  He wants a bigger kitchen.  He said he would include a sun room for me.  I would fill it with whimsical art with local artists and try my hand at houseplants again.  Oh, to dream.
